REDEEMING ARTS AND CULTURE FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD
Since God is the First Great Artist, we humans who have been created by Him in His image have received many creative gifts originating from five art forms: music, dance, drama, visual art, and creative writing/storytelling. The exercise of our gifts should not be to glorify ourselves, please our audience, or serve the spirit of art, but rather to cooperate with God's creative power working through our gifts to produce human masterpieces proclaiming His excellencies. Communicating the Good News through the traditional arts of the Khmer people bypasses the cultural barriers erected by Western-style missions and fulfills the biblical mandate to "become all things to all people" in order to save some.
