Dear CCAM Partners and Friends,
I just got off the phone with Gioia. She says that Buntheep is out of surgery, and that it went well. They will be in Jacksonville at least another two weeks because the incisions for this surgery were closed with the type of stitches that must be removed. She asks that we pray for no infection and that the pain would not be too great.
Also, Vikki Mioduszewski sent in a link to a news article about Buntheep and her treatment at Wolfson Children's Hospital. The link is here: [Click to open the article]
She says that the article was front-page in the Florida Times-Union, and included "Trust God" as the closing quote! Check out the article on-line, it includes a link to a brief video in which one of the doctors explains the surgery a bit. Gioia and Buntheep appear in the video.
Trust God, indeed!
