The Eastern Biblical Family Relationship Model for Ministry

An Organism Instead of an Organization

Primary Relationships

A mature Christian leader serves as the spiritual parent, teacher, and shepherd
of a disciple who is learning to be a follower of Christ.

The mature leader and the maturing disciple
become friends and fellow-workers/partners,
as the disciple/intern is mentored and trained
while working alongside the mature leader
to learn first-hand how to do the ministry.

and the disciple, who is now fully trained as a bona fide leader,
takes on the leadership responsibilities, while continuing to
gratefully and humbly receive counsel from the mentor.
