BROKEN AND POURED OUT
July 16, 2013

Dear CCAM Partners and Friends,

Announcing two new dance videos uploaded to YouTube:

  1. "My Body Broken for You,” performed at Logos International School in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on June 8, 2013, is an original dance in Khmer creative style, lyrics by Sarin Sam to a traditional Khmer melody, with choreography by CCAMS graduate staff Reaksmey Long Ty. Click here to view it.
  2. This dance is the companion to “The New Covenant in My Blood,” both designed for celebrating The Lord’s Supper according to 1 Corinthians 11:23-26. Following is the English translation of the song lyrics.

    "MY BODY BROKEN FOR YOU"
    Khmer Creative Style

    1. He breaks the bread of life,
      Oh, Lord my God!
Giving to all His disciples. (x2)

I receive and eat with grateful heart,
      Oh, Lord of life! (x2)

    2. Every day I remember,
      Oh, Lord my God!
All that You truly surrendered. (x2)

You are the Bread of God,
Giving life to the lost. (x2)

    3. I take the broken bread
      Oh, Lord my God!
      To remember You. (x2)

And watch each day to welcome You
When it is Your time to take us home. (x2)

  3. "The New Covenant in My Blood,” performed at Logos International School in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on April 27, 2013, is an original dance in Khmer creative style, lyrics by Sarin Sam to a traditional Khmer melody, with choreography by CCAMS graduate staff Sophun Ty. Click here to view it.
  4. This dance is the companion to “My Body Broken for You,” both designed for celebrating The Lord’s Supper according to 1 Corinthians 11:23-26. Following is the English translation of the song lyrics.

"THE NEW COVENANT IN MY BLOOD"
    Khmer Creative Style

    1. May Your powerful blood,
That was shed on the cross
To save and redeem us from sin,
      Flow from Your wounds
To cleanse away all my guilt
      And heal my broken soul
      From the ravages of sin.

You bore so much pain because of my iniquity!
Oh, Lord my God, my sins are very great!

    2. I will lift up my cup to drink,
      To remind myself every day
      To remember Your precious blood
      That flowed down until death.
Oh, Lord, how painful it was!
      You shed your precious blood
As a gift for your disciples to drink.

Oh, Lord my God, I am content!
I receive it with grateful heart!

    3. You give me to drink until You come
To take me to Your place of life.
In this world I am wrong every day
      Because of temptations,
But please forgive all of my iniquity!
Count Your righteous cup to my account
      Because of your covenant.

I receive it with grateful heart!
Oh, Lord my God, I truly confess!

Many blessings,
The CCAMS Performing Team
