MANY GOOD REPORTS
July 29, 2013

Dear CCAM Partners and Friends,

We are happy to report that Baby Grace is improving every day! By now she has learned how to suck and is draining her mother’s milk while gobbling up formula supplements as well! However, because Grace was premature at birth, she is still underweight, so please pray that she will catch up soon. The jaundice is disappearing, as her parents expose her skin daily to the daylight steaming through the window. We thank God for all of these blessings!

Now Grace’s family is beginning to experience a more normal routine living with a new baby. Please keep praying for her growth to maturity and for strength and wisdom for her parents, Sophun and Resksmey. And pray also for big brother Isaac (turning 5 in September), as he tries to figure out his special place in the new scheme of things.

Today is the first day since the birth of Grace that Sophun has been able to focus on creating the choreography for his new Drum Proclamation Dance. As I write this email, I can hear them practicing it right outside my door! This is also made possible by another answered prayer---that the drum teacher would come to help Sophun design the drum rhythms. In the weeks just preceding the birth of Grace, that drum teacher did come several times. Therefore, now it is possible for Sophun to complete the dance. Please pray for the Holy Spirit’s inspiration for Sophun and for the drummers, singers, and dancers.

From April through June, CCAMS students worked diligently creating lyrics and music for more than 10 new original Christian songs. Combining those new songs with other songs previously created, there are so far about 40 songs ready to publish in our new CCAMS Songbook. Now we are beginning part two of the music project, arranging and recording those songs to produce music CDs for distribution. Chan Borey Pich, a former CCAMS student, has volunteered to serve as project manager for this phase.

Back in 2008, when we were forced to vacate our previous buildings, we lost our professional recording studio. However, before we got that studio, we used to record music in a makeshift home studio. Now we plan to return to that method again (until God answers our prayer for another professional studio). Please pray that God will supply everything that we need to accomplish this work.

Another good report is about our filming project during the months of April through July. We completed 5 planned filming days, plus one extra bonus day, producing videos of 19 dances. We are very thankful to Logos International School for allowing us to film in their auditorium. And we praise God that, in answer to all of our prayers, we had electrical power each time we went there, even though the Logos neighborhood is notorious for having power outages. Now these videos have been edited for viewing, and some of them are already posted on YouTube.

Kelsey was our videographer, using a Sony HandyCam purchased with donations. She also learned how to use computer editing software to prepare the videos in presentable form. In answer to our prayers, God sent volunteer Vuth to provide the editing software and to train Kelsey to use it. The next phase of this project is to produce video DVD albums for distribution. Please pray that God will supply everything that we need to accomplish it.

The report about our book production project is also encouraging. Please continue to pray for further progress:

Currently Being Mass Produced: Blackie’s Boy

Still Being Developed: The Garbage Collector’s Baby, The Orphan Kitten, The Mystery

Kelsey reports from America that she is enjoying the fellowship of family and friends, as well as beginning to lay the groundwork for future networking for CCAM over there. Please pray God’s guidance, provision, and protection for Kelsey.

In addition to everything else happening the past few months, our team has performed at New Life School, Cambodia Bible Institute graduation, and Phnom Penh Bible School graduation, helping the Body of Christ celebrate important milestones.

The Cambodian elections were held yesterday. For the past few days, there have been sporadic outbreaks of civil disturbances and even violence between the two main parties, but for the most part peace has been maintained, just as we have prayed (1 Timothy 2:1-6). Please continue to pray for peace in Cambodia.

Praising the Lord for His goodness!
