TEAM PARTNERS
October 21, 2013

Dear CCAM Partners and Friends,

Kelsey is still busy networking and fundraising for CCAM in the Central United States. One of the highlights of her efforts was an outreach trip to Iowa and Nebraska from September 12 to 22. During that trip, she was able to place CCAMS children’s books in the Wartburg College library and bookstore and in the library of a Lutheran School.

Recently, there have been quite a few musical benefit concerts to raise funds for CCAM in Kelsey’s town of Loveland, Colorado. Some in-kind donations have included flutes and personal CD players for CCAM students.

In between her many speaking engagements, Kelsey designed some new note cards featuring artwork of CCAMS students. Not only that, but she has arranged for the U.S. publication of two of our books, “Remember” and “A Hole of His Own.” Both the books and the cards are being distributed as gifts for financial donations.

Please keep praying for Kelsey, that God will provide for her own personal financial support, as well as for CCAM’s, and that He will arrange divine appointments leading to future ministry opportunities.

Another exciting development is that DeeAnn Wilson, Kelsey’s mom, has agreed to serve on the CCAM Executive Board! Kelsey is already an Advisory Board member, and Kelsey and her mom are a great team working together on many CCAM projects in Loveland. We are so blessed to have both of them as partners with us on the CCAM team.

We are very pleased to report that large special donations from friends and partners, as well as from new donors recruited by Kelsey, have provided enough funds to meet CCAM’s operating expenses for the months of September and October. Praise God! However, please keep praying for God to raise up more monthly, quarterly, or yearly donors who will pledge regular donations and faithfully sustain the CCAM ministry over the long term.

The choreography for “Song of the Bondservants” is now complete! Pray for our student performers, who are being challenged to learn a new style of contemporary dance, mixed with Khmer classical dance.

Pray that the costumes will be finished on time. Reaksmey’s mother, Bunnan, has been busy sewing them, but there is still a lot more to do! These contemporary style costumes have been very challenging for her to master, but nevertheless she is bravely persevering toward the goal.

Our next challenge will be recording the music accompaniment for “Song of the Bondservants” and “Proclamation Drum Dance.” The music for both of these will be provided by our CCAMS Khmer drum orchestra, including various other Khmer traditional instruments!

Martin Neil of Voices from the Nations (UK), our previous recording partner on the “Garlands for Ashes” album, will come with his wife Rebekah to help us record. Pray for their safe arrival on October 23 and departure on November 3.

We have only been able to secure two days at the recording studio. Pray that we can complete those two songs in that amount of time, or that additional days will be made available. Also please pray that adequate funding will be provided for expenses.

Another prayer request is that there would be no serious flooding from storms during this time (as there have been in Phnom Penh and across Cambodia recently), although the flooding did not flow into our houses! Praise the Lord!

And continue to pray for peace in Cambodia, because potentially violent political demonstrations are planned for the exact dates of our recording!

Partners with God and you,
The CCAMS Family
