NEIGHBORHOOD KIDS' OUTREACH
January 3, 2014

Dear CCAM Partners and Friends,

Our first mini-documentary video, “Neighborhood Kids’ Outreach,” is now posted on YouTube. Click here to view.

This is the second year that CCAMS has partnered with Asian Hope for their Christmas outreach to approximately 300 neighborhood kids living around Logos International School in Phnom Penh.

On December 21, 2013, the Asian Hope team led the children who attended to sing some Christian songs. CCAMS performed two dances. “Proclamation Drum Dance” calls all people everywhere to receive God’s Christmas gift of the birth of His Son Jesus Christ. “The Farewell Dance” describes how Jesus grew up and died on the cross to pay for the sins of the world, and then rose from the dead and ascended into heaven with the promise that He would come back again to banish sin and death forever.

This year, CCAMS student Dina Pen read aloud one of our recently published children’s books, “A True Friend,” written and illustrated by former CCAMS student, Lina Pao. Afterwards, CCAMS staff member, Sophun Ty, shared a short message from the Bible, explaining how the Lord Jesus longs to be the True Friend and Savior of all people who believe in Hm.

Then Lina joined the CCAMS team to distribute over 200 copies of “A True Friend” to the neighborhood children who were old enough to read, supplementing gifts from Asian Hope. The Asian Hope distribution team wore dark blue shirts and the CCAMS team wore either costumes or light blue shirts. It was so exciting to see the kids eagerly search in their plastic bags and pull out their new books to read on the spot!

Please pray for the children attending these outreaches that the seeds sown will grow and bear fruit! Please pray also for the resources needed by Asian Hope, Logos International School, and Cambodian Christian Arts Ministry School to continue their ministries, including more partnerships!

Many New Year Blessings,
The CCAMS Family
