Dear CCAM Partners and Friends,

What a challenging, yet productive year 2013 turned out to be! Following are some selected highlights of ministry goals realized, as we persevered by faith in the power of Christ against all obstacles! Please join us to praise God for providing His inspiration, wisdom, ability, resources, and victory, as He worked mightily through us!

Highlights from 2013: Please praise God for...

  1. Year-long creation and many performances during the Christmas season of the original dance drama “Song of the Bondservants.” The theme is derived from Philippians 2, which calls us to follow Christ’s example of sacrifice as bondservants of God, after experiencing reconciliation with God and one another. Praise God for calling volunteers Martin and Rebekah Neil of Voices from the Nations to come to Cambodia in October to record the music! We have so far been invited to present this dance at two local conferences to be held in 2014 and 2015, both having a reconciliation theme. Click here to view videos of 2013 performances.

  2. Year-long creation and many performances during the Christmas season of the original dance “Proclamation Drum Dance.” The evangelistic theme is derived from many scriptures throughout the Bible where The One True God invites all people to worship Him, culminating with John 3:16, proclaiming the gift of His Son to pay the debt of mankind’s sin. Praise God again for calling volunteers Martin and Rebekah Neil to record this music too! Click here to view videos of 2013 performances.

  3. Four-month filming project at Logos International School (April-July) which yielded 19 videos of CCAMS dance performances, many of which are already posted on YouTube. The next stage of this project is to produce for distribution three albums of performance videos, as well as a five-album set featuring performing arts, preaching, and testimony. Praise God for sending Kelsey to serve as videographer and editor for this project! Click here to view selected Logos videos.

  4. The month-long music project (April-May) in partnership with visiting volunteer Jessica Cook, which yielded 10 new original Christian songs --- music and lyrics created by CCAMS students. The next step will be to produce a CCAMS Songbook featuring over 40 songs, including those created previously by other students throughout many years of CCAMS music training, and then to arrange the music and record the songs for distribution on music CDs. More to come...

  5. The making of ballet costumes for “The Dew of Life” dance during the month of May, sewn by visiting volunteer seamstress Amanda Metzger. Click here to view a video of this dance.

  6. The publishing and distribution of culturally appropriate Cambodian Christian children’s books to promote literacy among Cambodian children and to put into their hands wholesome, attractively illustrated stories based on principles from the Bible. Again, praise God for sending Kelsey to manage both the publishing and distribution of these books! Click here to to view CCAMS Book Production Photos in Dropbox.

    • New Books Published in 2013:
      • “Miknia’s Doll” - Second Edition
      • “Remember”
      • “A Hole of His Own”
      • “Blackie’s Boy”

There are more than 20 additional books in varying stages of production, including new stories created in our recent story writing class!

    • Many CCAMS books were distributed to disadvantaged children across Cambodia, culminating with a neighborhood kids’ outreach in partnership with Asian Hope at Christmas 2013, where we distributed more than 200 copies of our 2012 publication, “A True Friend.” Click here to view a mini-documentary video.

  7. Kelsey’s networking and fundraising for CCAM in the U.S. during her furlough (July-November). Please pray that God will continue to make the seeds she planted to grow and yield an abundant harvest of financial, prayer, and practical support for the CCAM ministry in Cambodia.

  8. Prison Outreach in Kompong Cham Province on New Year’s Day. Click here to view a mini-documentary video of this event.
