Dear CCAM Partners and Friends,

Please join us to pray about our current housing situation! Hidden problems keep emerging in the very old buildings in Phnom Penh that we currently call home. They were merely given an attractive face-lift back in 2010 when we first moved in! Especially the ancient electrical and water systems are constantly malfunctioning, and heavy rains often cause flooding.

On the other hand, many times in the past we have requested prayer for our projected plans to build a CCAM Center in Kompong Chhnang province. But due to this pressing housing emergency in Phnom Penh, we need a new place to live immediately, so there is no time to wait for building the Center now. However, we continue to pray for its completion in the future. Besides, we will still need a headquarters in Phnom Penh even after we move to Kompong Chhnang.

In May 2015, the 5-year lease for the Phnom Penh facilities expired. At that time, the landlord asked us to vacate the properties, because he wants to demolish them to build something new, which is certainly a prudent decision, given their rundown condition.

This year, the rainy season has been late to arrive, but recent afternoon rains and a large storm that came through recently, seem to be announcing its arrival! During such storms, we have to rescue the dishwashing area which fills quickly with brown water, put buckets under leaks in the roof, mop up the water coming in under the doors, and continually scoop the water that comes up through the drains in the bathrooms to prevent flooding throughout the whole house.

In addition, we are also severely over-crowded, needing larger facilities to adequately house students and staff and to provide enough room for our various programs and projects.

We have been looking for adequate new facilities for over a year, but so far have not found anything large enough and at the right price, especially since current donations are no longer sufficient to cover even basic expenses.

During the past 20 years serving in Cambodia, God has always solved every problem and provided for all of our needs, so we have faith that He will raise up new sources of funds and reveal His choice of new facilities according to His perfect will and time! Please pray!
