Dear CCAM Partners and Friends,

Thank you for your prayers!  The meeting with the landlord was very encouraging!  God has definitely given us favor in his eyes!

When he learned that we rescue disadvantaged Cambodian kids and train them in both academics and the Khmer traditional arts, he and his building coordinator followed us all over the property, listening eagerly to our requests for changes, and even offering their own creative ideas for improvements!

However, the main drawback is that the landlord’s mother is the one who makes the final decisions, and she does not want to rent the house, but is bent on selling it.  In any case, he agreed to present our rental request to her and let us know what she decides.  He suggested that his mother might agree to our renting the house for a minimum of two years, so that we could pursue fundraising with the intention of buying the property at the end of the lease.  In any case, please pray that God will now touch the mother’s heart to show the same compassion to us and our cause as her son has shown.

Also, please pray that God will give us wisdom to discern His will during these negotiations!
