Dear CCAM Partners and Friends,

In our last newsletter, “Saga of The House,” we reported that the landlord had once again decided to pursue selling the house instead of renting it to us.  Therefore, we had prayerfully resumed searching for other options.  However, just one week after that, the real estate agent notified us that the mother of the landlord had changed her mind, and was inviting us to return to meet with her personally!  At that meeting, she graciously agreed with the terms of our rental contract and promised that we would sign it within a few days, as soon as they had finished preparing the house for us.  And so, we transported our personal appliances for them to install in the house. 

But three days later, the mother called a halt to these preparations, announcing that she had received another offer to buy the house!  Days passed while we waited in limbo for the outcome.  However, as had always happened in the past whenever someone offered to buy the house, the deal fell through!  Obviously God is the one who has chosen this house for us, because for the past six months, none of the many potential buyers have ever been able to purchase it!

On July 12, one month after our last newsletter was sent, we finally signed the contract to rent “The House”!  Today, one week later, we have completed moving in, assisted by friends, fellow missionaries, and former students, as well as by hired helpers! 

Praise the Lord for His amazing miracle of provision!  Just has been the case each time we have moved into new facilities chosen by Him during the past 20 years, we are again expecting Him to faithfully provide the finances to pay for it.  So far, all expenses for signing the contract (including the deposit and two month’s advance rent), as well as the costs for moving, have been covered by special donations. 

And so, the restoration of the CCAMS ministry has begun!  Phase one, packing up and securing the house, and phase two, moving in, have now been completed.  Please continue to pray for God’s enabling as we begin phase three….reorganization of the ministry within our new facilities.

Throughout this journey of faith, we have had many opportunities to witness about our life in Christ to everyone involved in the process….the landlords, the real estate agents, the movers, etc.  And now they have all witnessed that what we told them is true!  Our God is an awesome God!
