Dear CCAM Partners and Friends,

Last week, during our first Thanksgiving celebration in our new school facility, we praised God and thanked Him for His great wonders and lovingkindness towards us, especially through Psalm 136!  Over the past few months, we have reported on the progression of miracles that God has been doing to restore CCAMS.  When we sent our last newsletter, there were two remaining miracles needed:  the provision of the dorm buildings and the funds to cover all dorm and CCAM School expenses.

Now we have finally found two suitable dorm buildings side-by-side!

They are newer, nicer, and larger than any other places that we have seen so far!  However, they are more expensive than we had originally planned.  But since they are so large, we think that all 28 enrolled students from the countryside, along with the managers and cook and their families, could fit in just one of the buildings, although it will be a bit snug!  The landlords are excited about our plan to use their house to help disadvantaged youth, and have agreed to rent one building for $850 per month, which is less than the $1,000 that they were originally asking. 

On the other hand, if God provides additional funding, we would be able to expand the dorm ministry by renting both houses and welcoming students even from the waiting list!  Perhaps the landlords would give us a special rate for renting both houses.

So…we have students eagerly awaiting the opportunity to come live in the dorms and pursue their studies, we have volunteer teachers and staff ready to offer their time, energy, and expertise to help these young people learn and grow, and we have buildings sitting vacant until the students and volunteers can move in! 

Now everything depends on one final miracle…the financial backing!  We cannot sign a contract, make a deposit, nor pay the subsequent monthly rental fees and other expenses for the dorms without a significant increase in regular pledged donations. 

Please pray that God will call His people to action and that by faith they will respond generously, joining the ranks of those who continue to be faithful supporters of this ministry. (New Testament Examples of Generous Giving:  2 Corinthians 8) 

Without the opportunities offered through CCAM, many of the youth currently waiting in the countryside will continue to live in very impoverished conditions, lacking proper nutrition, access to quality education (or any education at all), and a chance to discover and develop the talents God has given them to serve Him.  Surely God has brought us this far precisely because it is His intention to take us all the way!

Besides, even during the time of gradual restoration one miracle at a time, God provided so many opportunities for us to share our faith with everyone we met along the way, giving glory to our miracle-working God!  So, along with all of those witnesses, we are very excited to see how God will accomplish this last remaining miracle, which will complete the restoration of His ministry of CCAM in Cambodia!
